Khet Bachao Andolan
Khet Bachao Andolan is building a nationwide movement for balanced fertilizer use, healthy soils and sustainable farming practices. As part of the campaign, over 7.57 lakh farmers have been reached through extensive awareness and outreach activities.
The campaign has organised 13,922 awareness camps/Sangoshthis covering 5.756 lakh farmers, along with 3,270 training programmes benefiting 1,39,333 participants. A total of 8,078 demonstrations on green manuring, biofertilizers and organic sources have been conducted to promote integrated nutrient management.
Community participation has been strengthened through 4,998 Sarpanch Sammelans, engagement with 9,609 input dealers, and programmes involving 8,383 members of FPOs/SHGs/FIGs. Awareness outreach further expanded through 54,750 banners and posters, 951 radio talks, 209 TV/digital programmes, and digital dissemination reaching 2.862 crore users.
Together, the movement is advancing the vision of Healthy Soil • Better Yield • Sustainable Future.
