Qualifications & Background

Obtained Ph.D. in Poultry Science from ICAR–Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR-IVRI), Izatnagar, in 2001. A distinguished poultry scientist with over 25 years of teaching, research, and professional experience in poultry breeding and genetics, nutrigenomics, poultry health, and molecular biology. Significantly contributed to advancing poultry production, genetic improvement, and disease management through the application of modern biotechnological approaches. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to poultry science. Received 23 prestigious awards and honors, including the IPSA Fellowship, the Norman E. Borlaug Fellowship, and the Best Lady Veterinarian Award.
