Shri Mukesh Kumar Meshram, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow paid a visit to the Institute on 20.8.2026. He discussed about the prospects of promoting poultry farming in the State of U.P. in view of the fact that almost 50% of the consumption requirement of poultry eggs and meat of the state is being met from other states resulting in the avoidable draining of resources from the state. He disussed at length the strategy to enhance poultry production with Dr Jagbir Singh Tyagi, Director, CARI. Shri Meshram also visited the Demonstration Shed of the Institute and expressed his keen interest in the live poultry birds on the display. He enquired about the productivity and market potential of diverse avian species and appreciated the R&D efforts of the Institute. Some glimpses of his visit to the Institute.
